Managed by the Youth Democracy Movement (YDM), and moderated by Special Rapporteur on the right to education Farida Shaheed, participants from the Education Cannot Wait Youth Constituency, Global Student Forum, and SDG4 Youth & Student Network provided input on threats to youth and student safety.
The consultation will inform the report, “Safety as an essential element of the right to education and a precondition for its full realisation.” Special Rapporteur on the right to education Farida Shaheed will deliver the report to the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in June 2025.
