At the occasion of the International Student’s day, on November 17th, a group of academics spread across the planet, Faculty for Women, Life, Freedom, and the Global Student Forum (GSF) are organizing a live event to support the Iranian students, academics and high school students, and to discuss incoming coordinated actions. At the cost of their lives, Iranian students are at the frontline of the 2022 feminist and revolutionary movement which sparked in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Jina Amini on September 16th.
The uprisings in dozens of universities have successfully withstood more than 8 weeks of State repression, with more than 300 deaths and 14000+ people arrested, among whom several thousands of students. The aim of this live webinar is to amplify the voices of the Iranian students, in order to raise International support for their struggle for freedom. As the thousands arrested seriously risk death penalty, we want to state sound and clear that people all around the world are watching closely and strongly oppose the violence of the Iranian State.
