The Global Student Forum is deeply concerned about the recent violent attacks on international students in Kyrgyzstan, particularly in Bishkek, which left numerous injured and forced thousands to evacuate. The safety and well-being of thousands of international students, including those from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, have been severely compromised.
We urge the Kyrgyz authorities to ensure the immediate safety of all students, to address the root causes of this violence, and enforce measures to prevent further such incidents in the future. International students must feel secure and supported as they pursue their education. Swift justice for the victims is imperative to restore confidence and security among the international student community.
